I know Mozilla Firefox is a competitor of Microsoft and its two browsers IE and in Windows 10 Microsoft Edge. For the past two years I would say from time to time there is a virus threat for Firefox users that says on the screen 'Urgent Firefox Update' below that it says, 'Download Now', and below that it shows a picture of the Mozilla Firefox logo.
Just do an image search for 'Firefox Emergency Update Virus,' and you will see exactly what I am talking about. The virus is a variation of a JS. At any rate, I obviously did not open the Trojan but on two occasions about eight months apart, I scanned the file with Windows Defender and it came up with no threat. I know that there was a threat, and when I got it today, I uploaded it to Virus Total and there were three malware engines that detected the threat.
I have received contradictory instructions online on how to send a suspicious file to Microsoft using Windows Defender and have never been able to do it. There is something that is always greyed out, or the instructions online tell different ways to do different things. I just wanted to throw this information out there for the community who may also use Firefox as a browser, use Windows Defender as their AV, and have the same situation with the Trojan. The message has popped up on both my Windows 8.1 laptop about five months ago, and yesterday on my Windows 10 desktop. I hope this threat gets recognized by Windows Defender in the future.

Jack
